This workshop will discuss the growing diversity in RI and the US and how it is impacting the mental health profession. Participants will learn about how issues of diversity show up in the supervisee and supervisor relationship. Participants will also learn strategies on how to affirm and empower supervisees, as well as how to address power dynamics within the relationship.

Social Work CEUs: This training has been approved by the National Association of Social Workers for 3.0 continuing education units (Cross Cultural CEUs).

Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This training has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education units. The RICB is an IC & RC affiliate.
