This training is being offered by:

 The Substance Use and Mental Health Leadership Council of RI and

the Opioid Treatment Program Health Home Initiative 

This course is designed to provide information to health care professionals on interpersonal violence. Topics of discussion will include the cycle of violence, types of violence, and the influence of external factors such as addiction. Other areas of discussion will include the impact of the beliefs of the practitioner, and common mistakes, as well as interventions. Participants will also learn about the different types of abuse, as well as strategies for working with clients who undergo abuse.
 

CEU Information:

Social Work CEUs: This training is pending approval by the National Association of Social Workers for 3.0 continuing education credits.

Chemical Dependency Professionals CEUs: This trainings has been approved by the RI Certification Board for 3.0 continuing education units. The RICB is an IC & RC affiliate.

Mental Health Counselors CEUs: This training is pending approval by the RI Mental Health Counselors Association for 3.0 continuing education credits.
